Before you write
What does an engagement cost?
Integration work is billed at a day rate, agreed before we start. Product delivery is quoted per milestone against a written scope, so you know the total before the first line of code. I send the numbers after the first call, once I understand what is actually involved.
How quickly can you start?
Integration engagements can usually begin within two weeks. A full product build starts with a scoping session, which I can normally schedule within a week of the first call.
Do you work with clients outside Canada?
Yes, that is most of my work. I have delivered projects in Canada, Germany and Cameroon, remotely and on site, in English and French. I keep hours that overlap European mornings.
Can you work alongside our existing team?
Yes, and it is often the better arrangement. On integration engagements I embed in the client team, take part in the ceremonies and hand the work over properly at the end.
Who owns the code?
You do. On product engagements the source, the documentation and the deployment pipeline are yours outright at handover, with no lock-in to me or to any tooling I happen to like.
